Vegetarian diet and colorectal cancer

An article by Chris Kresser in defense of paleo diet suggests to me a reflection;
European study on large scale for cancer incidence in people who practice a vegetarian diet compared to regular consumers of meat.

Study aimed to verify if body of vegetarians is preserved from cancer disease.
Results showed that tumoral incidence was lower in the vegetarian subjects with regard to most cancerous diseases, but it is seen as likely to develop colon cancer became significantly larger in vegetarian subjects.

The bigger resistance to other types of cancer maybe derives from habits healthier life compared to individuals who have not chosen to change their diet.

In conclusion, I think the best diet is protein intake balanced on physical activity and selected from best meats such as those of fish;
Avoiding large marine predators whose meat is full of heavy metals.
Accompanied by adequate amounts of vegetable, without forget nuts, a true super food for our diet.
Avoiding most possible glucose: carboidrates, fructose and .... sugar ......
